When a storm drops a tree across the yard or a limb comes down on a fence line, we handle the tree removal and storm cleanup, then whatever repair work comes after it. We work from St. Joseph down through the Northland and across the Kansas City metro.
Some of this work is planned, clearing a fence line or a building site before it can be used. Other times it's sudden: a tree goes down in a storm, a limb takes out part of a fence, or a dead tree finally needs to come out before it falls on its own. Either way it's chainsaw work on the ground, and when a tree is close to a house or a roofline, that means trimming and cutting from a lift instead of a ladder.
A lift changes what is safe to reach. Cutting a limb over a roofline from a ladder is a bad idea, and a lift lets us get up to the branch instead of guessing at an angle from below. Ground-level trees and brush don't need it, so we pick the right approach once we see the tree, not before.

What affects the price
Tree work prices around the size and number of trees, how close they are to a house or fence, and whether it's ground-level cutting or work that needs the lift. Storm cleanup depends on how much came down and how much of it needs to be hauled away versus left cut and stacked. Tree and storm questions
Do you remove the whole tree or just clean up what is down?
Both. We remove trees that are dead, damaged or in the way, and we clean up storm debris whether the tree came down on its own or needs to be taken down first.
What happens to the wood and branches?
Depends what you want. Usually they get cut up and hauled off the property, but we can leave it cut and stacked instead if that works better for you.
Can you get to a tree that is leaning on the house?
Call as soon as you can. We look at how it's resting and whether it needs the lift or ground equipment before cutting anything.
Do you grind stumps?
Yes, if you want the stump gone. Tell us when you call and we'll include it in the price along with the removal.
Can you clear a fence line or building site before other work starts?
Yes, we can clear brush and trees ahead of fencing, grading or a build, and line that up with the rest of the job.
