Ferry Construction & Excavation is based in St. Joseph, MO. We take jobs along the stretch from St. Joe down through the Northland and into the Kansas City metro, roughly the I-29, I-35 and I-435 corridor. If your town isn't on this list, call anyway. We may still be able to get to it.
The area splits into two rough groups below: the Northland towns close to home base, and the Kansas City metro further south. Where a job sits changes what it usually needs. Acreage out past Platte City calls for different work than a tight lot in an older Kansas City neighborhood, and we price and schedule with that in mind.
St. Joseph & the Northland
Closest to home base
This is where most of our equipment starts the day and where we know the ground best, a mix of older in-town neighborhoods and rural acreage on the edges. Excavation, trenching, fencing and framing are all work we take on out here, along with remodeling in the older housing stock. Acreage properties in this group can need work a tighter city lot never would: fence lines that run a long way, outbuilding pads, and trenches for power out to a shop or barn.
Kansas City metro
South and across the river
We also take jobs across the wider Kansas City metro, on both sides of the state line. Lots here tend to be tighter, more established lots than out in the Northland, and those lots often need trenching in finished yards, remodeling, roofing and deck work. Getting equipment in and out of a smaller lot without tearing up the yard is part of what we plan for before a job like this starts.

Wherever the job sits in our area, it's the same crew and the same compact excavator, walk-behind trencher and lift showing up. That matters when a job crosses over categories, like clearing and grading a fence line before the fence goes up, or repairing a roof after storm damage.
